Composer and conductor from Colombia with a strong interest in musical meaning. His music has been performed on different occasions in Germany, Austria, Colombia, Poland, Spain and the Netherlands, for example in Klangspuren IEMA (Graz), Mouvements (Saarbrücken) and Unerhörte Musik (Berlin), by ensembles and orchestras such as the German Radio Philharmonic Saarbrücken, Trompo (Amsterdam), and the Symphonic Orchestra of the Lübeck University of Music. His composition teachers were amongst others Dieter Mack and Diego Vega.
He has conducted a range of ensembles and orchestras, including the Győr Philharmonic Orchestra (Hungary), the Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras (Portugal), the LandesJugendEnsemble für Neue Musik Schleswig-Holstein (Lübeck), amongst others. His conducting teachers were Arturo Tamayo and Frank Hube, in Lugano (Switzerland) and Lübeck (Germany). He attended conducting masterclasses with Martin Sieghart, Ricardo Averbach and Nikolay Lalov.
Winner of the Théodore-Gouvy composition prize 2015, semi-finalist in the conducting competition of the International Conducting Academy and Competition of the Orquestra de Câmara de Cascais e Oeiras in 2023. Finalist in the Witold Szalonek International Composers' Competition (2018) and the World Percussion Group Competition (2018), and received an honorable mention at the national composition competition for string quartet in Colombia, FestiQ-Artetos (2018).
