Sextett (2014)
"Sextett" is a piece for 2 trumpets, 2 trombones and 2 percussionists which I composed after listening to some of the music of Perotin. His rhythmical linearity really captivated me at the time and certainly affected the rhythmical surface of my piece. The Sextett has a directional, predefined atonal harmonic structure, an interplay of "exotic" percussion (gongs, tam-tam, congas, bongos) and a great amount of rhythmic pulsated substance.
